Hi! I just need some help with resizing photos. I've watched the tutorial video twice, but when I change the first box to 1000, the second box readjusts automatically and then a big red exclamation mark pops up, and everything goes back to the original. I am using a very nice Nikon camera, but is my picture somehow too small? I'm worried. Please help!

Hi Jordan,
Please try resizing photos before uploading them to the backend. You can use programs like Preview (for Mac users) or Photoshop if you have it.
Thanks!

Hi,
I have been having the same problem and I am resizing it before uploading it to the backend using preview. It still is too large. I am also using a very nice camera, so I'm not sure what to do.

Hi, me again. My horizontal photos work because when I change the width, there is enough photo to compensate (if that makes sense?) However, it does not work for my vertical shots because my photo is not wide enough to compensate for a 1000 pixel-wide image.

Hi Julia,
So are you saying that the vertical photos are smaller than 1000 pixels wide before you resize them...? Please just try to clarify your question, and I'll do my best to help!
Thanks

Yes, I'm sorry, they're a little over 600 pixels wide and my computer cannot change it to make it bigger. It's a really high quality photo, I'm using a Nikon. I only took vertical shots for my head-to-toe picture.

I'm having a similar problem that Julia was having. I took my pictures with a photo size of 4320 x 3240 dimensions (or 3240 x 4320 if I take a vertical shot). When I went to upload a vertical image to WordPress, the image uploaded with 768 × 1024 as the dimensions. When I go to adjust the dimensions (putting 1000 in the first box), it shows a red exclamation point. When I click "Scale," the image dimensions go back to 768 x 1024. Do you know any way I can upload the images at 1000 pixels wide? (I've already tried resizing the images before uploading them as well, and the same thing happens.)

I have been having the same issue as Julia and Jesse! I resized my vertical photo to 1000 in Preview, then uploaded to WordPress. But in WordPress, it somehow reverted and said it was 684 x 1024 even though I resized in Preview.

I am also having the same issue! I've tried sizing up, sizing to exactly 1000x wide, so on and so forth, yet every time I upload the vertical shots, they all get resized to 687 x 1024 and wordpress will not allow me to size up.

Hi!! I'm having the EXACT same problem as Ada, Katie, Jesse and Julia!! I have to upload my Style Guru Bio by Monday noon, so I'm kind of worried I won't be able to upload my vertical pictures. I have already resized the picture to a very big size (4000x3000) and still it doesn't work. Do you know what we could do? Thank you so much for your help!!

Hi i'm having a similar problem with the pixels. My pixels are either too large or too small. I used a photo editor to change them to 1000 but now it wont give me the refresh option that is seen in the video?

I am having the same problems as well! I have resized my photos to 1000 pixels wide in Photoshop, making the dimensions 1000 x 1333, but when I load them onto the website, it reverts back to the original dimensions of 768 x 1024. I know I saved them correctly, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong! When I try to edit them again on the website, it shows a red exclamation point when I type 1000 pixels in for the width. It seems like the height dimension of 1333 pixels is too large for the website.

The same thing is happening to me! So frustrating. I've tried re-uploading the pictures and resizing them twice, both on Preview and on Wordpress, but nothing seems to be working
